Position Summary

The Department of Biology at Washington University in St. Louis and the Missouri Botanical Garden (MBG) seek an eminent biodiversity scientist to fill the inaugural David and Dorothy Kemper Chair in Biology, a position to be jointly held between Washington University, where the scientist will hold a tenured position at the rank of Professor, and MBG, where the scientist will hold the position of Senior Principal Investigator.

Required Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a distinguished record of research accomplishment focused on cutting-edge questions in an area of plant biodiversity science, including (but not limited to) global change, restoration, landscape, community and population ecology; systematics; phylogenetics; population and ecological genetics; evolutionary biology and conservation biology. A doctorate in biology or a closely related field is required, as well as an outstanding teaching, service, research, and publication record commensurate with tenure at this rank. 

Salary Range

Base pay is commensurate with experience.
