Job Summary:
This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction using integrative technologies.
Job Duties:
Teach courses via on ground, online, hybrid or web-enhanced modalities as assigned. Teach evening, weekend, off-campus, dual enrollment and distance-based courses as required. Submit class syllabus or update department syllabus at least 2 weeks prior to the first day of class or within seven days of the execution of contract. Regularly check your VSCC email and your departmental mailbox. Respond to emails/messages within 48 hours except on the weekend. Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the Registrar. Complete required College trainings. Complete all required reports such as attendance, Early Alerts, progress reports, grade submissions and administer and return surveys by the required deadlines. Advise the Department Chair at the earliest possibility if you are unable to teach a class. Attend meetings as requested by the Department Chair and/or Dean. Comply with all of the College’s and TBR’s policies and guidelines. Other duties as assigned.&nbsp;
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Accounting or a Master’s degree from an accredited institution plus 18 graduate hours in Accounting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Collegiate level teaching experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge and/or experience using a variety of instructional delivery modes. Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Pay Rate: $675 - $800 per credit hour

Dyersburg State Community College invites applicants for Psychology adjunct instructors for day, evening, and online classes held in Dyersburg, Covington, Paris, or at one of our other off-campus centers. Initial assignment may be at one of our teaching locations, but the official work station assignment may change each semester. The successful applicant will become certified and fully use the course management system (eLearn) for all classes. The applicant will also attend required meetings, report attendance, early alert notifications, and final grades prior to the established deadline, and will communicate curriculum and personnel needs or changes as appropriate to their assigned coordinator/dean. This position reports to the Chair of Humanities/Social Sciences and the Dean of Arts, Sciences, &amp; Technologies.
Requirements of the Position
Duties and Responsibilities: Teach assigned courses for discipline in Covington, Dyersburg, and/or Paris; prepare course materials; evaluate student learning, maintain class records, and submit required reports on time.
Working Conditions: Sedentary: Desk work; occasional travel may be required for college or program activities. Insignificant effort other than normal movement.&nbsp; Minimal Hazard/Exposure: Standard office settings. At least minimal environmental controls to assure health and comfort.
Required Qualifications: Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with 18 graduate semester hours in Psychology. &nbsp;
Ability to communicate effectively with students and other college personnel required.&nbsp;

<li>Oversee Orijin Tablets usage of students using TABE Test, and other tablet programs and certifications</li>
<li>Administer the Official Practice Test (OPT) to assess student readiness for the HiSET exam and provide feedback for further preparation.</li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director.</li>
