Project Manager, Research and Innovation
The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking applications for a Project Manager with excellent leadership, problem solving and decision-making skills for the Research and Innovation Division. Research is a vital mission of the University of Nevada, Reno. The Research & Innovation (R&I) Project Manager is responsible for coordinating research activities, preparing budgets, handling compliance issues, budget revisions and project closeouts, collecting and maintaining project data for dissemination to funding agencies, and providing technical assistance and data analysis support to the Principal Investigators (PI) on multiple projects across campus as assigned by the Senior Project Manager.
The Project Manager directly supports the PI and their project team for the duration of the award period by facilitating discussions for strategic planning, providing feedback on compliance questions or best practices, creating, and maintaining project management documentation, such as project plans, meeting agendas and notes, communication plans, budgets, scheduling, and moderating meetings, and serving as a liaison between the PI and the sponsor and sub awardees.
